About

Kumbula Indigenous Nursery is situated in the picturesque 1820 Settler village of Bathurst, in the Eastern Cape.

Our first aim is to promote the use of indigenous plants and non-invasive gardening practices, in order to create a balanced and wild-life friendly garden.

Consequently our plants, many of which we sell directly from the ground, are fully hardened to the local conditions of temperature, drought and wind.

Our second aim is to make gardening as easy and cost effective as possible. With thoughtful planning and a few shifts in garden practice, it is possible to reduce the amount of work involved, allowing you more time to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
