Choose a sunny position or one where the plant will not be over-shaded. Mix the soil with compost and ensure that the resulting mixture is well-drained. The plants require regular watering to encourage vigorous growth, but will survive with very little water. This Bergeranthus jamesii is quite small and would perhaps do best in rockery pockets or as a ground cover for containers, where it is less likely to get overwhelmed by other growth.
