I found this little pea flower growing in dry, stony soil at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, in semi-karoid scrub. 

This little plant grows in the veld in full sun and canopy shade. With bright green celery type leaf' 

For the past several years I have been trying to identify a host of  little wild flowers growing in the wild garden.  I have had limited success in this endeavour, identifying only about half the plants I have photographed. Here's hoping that somebody, somewhere, will recognise one of them.

This little plant grows along the edge of my property in very dry  canopy shade. I am charmed by its pretty, celery-like leaves but have not been able to find any information about it.  If anyone recognizes this plant, please let me know what it is called.

Over the last few years my interest in the 'little veld flowers' that we seldom see as we speed along the highways, has been aroused.  They vary from sub-shrubs to succulents, bulbs, annuals, perennials and creepers. As the demand for indigenous plants increases, some of these species can now be found at indigenous nurseries.

I recently had an opportunity to visit Kwandwe Private Game Reserve for a couple of days and was overwhelmed not only by the prime condition of the wild life, but also by the rich variety of plants in the veld. The reserve is situated between Grahamstown and Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape, where the climate is semi-Karoid; very hot and dry in summer and very cold and dry during winter.
